Elena

A shell of light enclosed by a perforated plate.

  • White Ceramic Entryway Lamp
Handcrafted during a workshop at the Caulino Ceramics atelier in Lisbon, this white ceramic lamp was designed for Elena. Its shapes are simple and essential, composed of two distinct elements: the “body,” a heavier form made of a cylinder and a rotated hemisphere, and the “plate,” a perforated element that conceals and diffuses the light source.
The exterior is deliberately raw and textured, while the inner cavity and the plate are glazed, creating a strong contrast of surfaces and finishes.
Designed to be placed in an entryway, it doubles as both a welcoming light and a tray for keys or small items.
A one-of-a-kind piece—evoking the sea, yet born from the earth.
